SYRAP is for the age 8-11 (SYRAP I), the age 12-18 (SYRAP II), and the graduates of SYRAP II (SYRAP III).

The purpose of the SYRAP is to promote and encourage children and youth to further study and apply the Jodo Shinshu teachings to their lives.  It is a part of the Sunday School program as an extra-curricular activity.

There are 4 Awards for the SYRAP.

1. Dharma I Award for Non-Scouts
2. Metta Award for Cub Scouts
3. Sangha Award for Boy Scouts
4. Padma Awards for Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts
